Chompy Creations, which is based in Tallahassee, FL, is meant to be a fun loving group which involves itself in all kinds of computer based media. We particularly like interactive media which in our case includes both web site design/development and video game design/development. Of course the video games are more of a side thing but we really hope to push our video game projects commercial sometime in the next few years.
Chompy
The Chompy character is beloved by all whom are fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He represents a lot of things… service with a smile, fun loving, changing and evolving to meet the needs of clients. His is also meant to be a symbol that represents his creator, Nathan Ogden. All in all though he’s the mascot that everyone is supposed to love and it doesn’t really have to go any deeper then that. No lies told when I say lovable and recognizable mascots means more familiarity as well as more business for us!
Chompy, our round spherical friend, was clearly influenced by Nintendo’s chain chomp character. Credit is also given to Seth Brock, a graphic designer. He got the wheels turning on the Chompy design by providing some very interesting but somewhat vicious looking creatures. He always used the ‘C’ letter as the basis for the shape of the character though, and in my attempts to make Chompy a bit more friendly looking I too started with a ‘C’ shape. With the support and critique of my graphic design class Chompy took shape and the character was born!
Nathan Ogden
Nathan has always had a passion for computers. His first computer experience was at age five on his Apple IIe. He grew up tinkering on the family computer (and breaking several of them in the process). Over the years Nathan learned how to design graphics, code websites, and make video games.
Nathan attended Tallahasse Community College where he obtained an Associate of Science degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia Technology. (He’s also currently working on a Video Game Development degree as well.) He learned a lot at TCC and his experiences there helped influence and improve his career choices and work skills.
Nathan’s has a wide range of computer skills that have developed over the years. His interest and desire to make video games have really forced that skill set to expand. Some of his more technical skills include… HTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP coding, Python coding, 3D modeling with Blender, assembling and repairing computer hardware, and setting up Linux servers.
Nic Nunez
Nic is into all things art… he draws, he Photoshops, and he even makes his own music! He teamed up with Chompy Creations in hopes of learning a thing or two about web site development. He’s currently developing his own website with a little help from the Chomp, you can see how he’s doing at nicnunez.com.
Anthony De Medeiros
A 3D modeler and animator whom is part of the DreamSphere team. He teamed up with Chompy Creations in hopes of fine tuning his modeling talent. Check out his work and see what he’s into on his blog at anthonydm.net!
